Elder relation to the even more chromatic Big Bit, this boutique shop is still oozing with colour and playful detail. The brief was to entirely transform an already popular and well-established retail space in centre of Margate when new owners took over.
Colour played a huge role is shaping the look and feel of the space. Led by the motto for the fledgling brand “If it doesn’t make us smile it’s not allowed on the shelf,” an adapted version of a ‘rainbow’ palette was initially decided upon in order that different spaces could be zoned whilst equally offering a dollop of colour-pop. An array of varied display systems were also designed so that the unique products from independent makers were given the space and attention they deserve. A new counter with hand made tiles took centre stage in the heart of the space to allow for flow and visitor-owner interaction.
